Refund Policy

This Refund Policy applies to all services provided by LawBookify, operated by Eve McCate, doing business as LawBookify, based in North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

 

1. Monthly Retainer Services

For ongoing monthly services, including bookkeeping, trust accounting, controller support, and payroll, fees are billed in advance for the upcoming month. If you cancel a monthly engagement with at least 15 days notice before your next billing date, you will not be charged for the following month. If notice is received with fewer than 15 days before the next billing date, the upcoming month's fee applies and services will be delivered through the end of that billing period.

Refunds are not issued for monthly retainer fees once a billing period has commenced, as work is actively performed throughout the month.

 

2. Project-Based Services

For fixed-scope engagements such as audit prep, compliance rescue, or software setup, a deposit may be required prior to commencement. Deposits are non-refundable once work has begun. If LawBookify is unable to complete a project due to circumstances within our control, a prorated refund of unearned fees will be issued.

 

3. Discovery Calls

Free discovery calls carry no fee and require no refund. If you have booked a call and need to cancel or reschedule, please do so with at least 24 hours notice through the booking link provided.

 

4. Disputed Work

If you are dissatisfied with any work product delivered by LawBookify, please contact us at info@lawbookify.ca within 7 days of delivery. We are committed to resolving concerns promptly and will work with you to revise or correct the work at no additional charge where the issue falls within the agreed scope of services.
